Become a Volunteer
MOHAI wants you! Volunteer and become part of the MOHAI family as we share stories, preserve history and serve as an important resource to the community. MOHAI’s volunteers are crucial to our work. Their skills, generosity and passion for history make MOHAI a richer and more responsive institution. Each year, MOHAI honors a volunteer with the Tom Landry Volunteer of the Year Award. As MOHAI moves forward on plans for the new museum at Lake Union Park, volunteers will continue to play an essential role in helping us create an exciting addition to the cultural landscape.
Volunteer opportunities this past year have included serving as a museum docent, creating trivia questions for quiz nights at local bars, working in our library and collections department, researching the nuances of early 20th century political cartoons, and helping with public events and children’s activities. Hours include business hours, occasional evenings and weekends.
