Photo search...         Online Exhibits Al Smith's Neighborhood Al Smith's Neighborhood is a collection of photos from African-American photographer and Seattle resident Al Smith, who documented life in his neighborhood from the 1930s to the 1980s. Al Smith's Neighborhood provides a rarely seen glimpse into Seattle's African-American community. Crossing Boundaries King County Snapshots brings together the vast photographic resources of the University of Washington, MOHAI, and ten Association of King County History Organizations (ACKHO) to make historic photos more accessible to the public. King County Snapshots received a prestigious National Leadership Grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services to create a national model for cooperation among history organizations in the spirit of serving the region. Skid Road: A Day in the Life of Mill Street Taking a page from early Seattle history, Skid Road: A Day in the Life of Mill Street, offers a sample of MOHAI's popular Skid Road role-playing exhibit. Meet Stoobsh-sahcub (Stewbsh sa-cob), a 29-year-old Duwamish fisherman.
